We wanted to share our most recent trip to New Orleans with you on the blog! It’s one of Brianna’s all time favorite places, and it was Megan’s first time spending more than one night in the city. We LOVE New Orleans for it’s rich culture, history, architecture, and AMAZING food! We had so much fun exploring the city together and having a few mini photo shoots along the way. (: Our little photographer hearts COULDN’T help it! Shoutout to all of the sweet Nola residents that helped us when it was obvious we had no clue where we were going. You guys rock.
We ended our amazing trip with a photo shoot in the Warehouse District featuring our talented model Jaydelyn, and stuffing our faces with burgers afterwords. Thats how you go out with a BANG. (; If you missed it you can check it out here.
Keep scrolling, and we will take you along some of our favorite highlights from the trip!
The first thing we did in New Orleans was get a CLUB SANDWICH. It was delicious, but it cracks us up that this was the first meal we had in a city known for it’s diversity in cuisine. 😂
At least one visit to Sucre is always a must when visiting New Orleans. Or three or four. 😉
If you’re looking for an amazing place to eat in Nola, we highly recommend Irene’s before anything else. It is by far the best food we’ve ever had in the city out of the many restuarants we’ve eaten at. The service is exceptional and everyone greets you as you walk in. We had caprese and mussel marinara as an appetizer, lamb chops as an entree, and to top it off we had chocolate mousse hazelnut truffle for desert. It. Was. AMAZING. The best part is Irene’s was right across the street from our hotel so we got to smell the delicious aroma coming from the kitchen every single day! 😍
Here we are waiting for the street car to come. On this particular occasion we missed it twice. Once because we were sitting on the wrong side of the station.😂 We attempted to take a streetcar four different times on this trip without success. It was pretty funny. 😂😂😂
Here, we were scouting out some awesome places to photograph Jaydelyn in the Warehouse District. The urban archetecture and scenery is SO fascinating, especially when you’re from a cute little beach town like us.
Pit stop to get our sugar fix at a cute little french cafe called Bittersweet Confections.
This picture of Megan was taken in a really awesome luxary car garage. When we took Jaydelyn there to shoot, we almost got locked in. Scariest 3 minutes of the whole trip until a nice man showed us a button to push to open the door! 😂
On this trip, we did a lot of exploring outside of the French Quarter. We hit up City Park at sunset and it was so dreamy. We couldnt resist doing a mini photo shoot!
Megan did such a good job driving in New Orleans traffic guys. This is an accurate representation of her the entire time–gripping the wheel and very focused with the occasional road rage outburst.
We can’t go to Nola without going to The Court of Two Sisters daily jazz brunch buffet! This is where we get our cajun fixings every trip and the best part is you can try a little bit of every traditional New Orleans dish. The beautiful courtyard and live jazz music gives you a proper Nola dining experience!
Bri got to reenact this picture with the SAME guy from when she was 5 years old!
Here we are so excited because we were about to meet Jaydelyn! Testing our camera settings while waiting–trusty stool in hand.
Megan is the best fill-in model for test shots!!
